Big Weekend at BarCamp

I spent the weekend at barcamp in NYC. Lots of cool conversations, interesting things learned and people met. I blogged a bit about it and did 5 podcasts, all over at [lk:civicactions.com/blog/2|Civi

Moose Camp

Kaliya Hamlin pointed me towards [l:http://2006.northernvoice.ca/wiki/moose-camp|Moose Camp] in an email earlier today. Kaliya and I have been scheming about DrupalGuild and the opensource cms world a bit. Looks like this might be a good opportunity to talk to a bunch of development shops about the DrupalGuild Concept and Guilds in general as a way to enhance open source projects.

Identity Workshop

Identity 2.0 Gathering: Getting to the Promised Land by Kaliya Hamlin -- The "identity gang" (Doc Searls, Phil Windley, Drummond Reed, and Kaliya Hamlin) has been meeting informally at tech conferences during the past year, but the time has arrived for diving deeper into the different proposed protocols (and the philosophies behind how their architects built them). Kaliya, a.k.a. Identity Woman, shares her perspective on identity and invites people to join her and the rest of the gang at the Internet Identity Workshop, October 26-27, in Berkeley, California.

Go Flock Yourself

Chris Messina (formerly of [lk:civicspacelabs.org|CivicSpaceLabs] presented on a panel at the [lk:nten.org|NTEN Regional San Francisco] conference called "The Next Generation of Open Source Tools". He was there to talk about [l:http://www.flock.com|Flock], a "social web browser" that he is working on. Flock seems to combine the best of del.icio.us, Outfoxed and blog editing aps like Eckto.
