Mike (or Mega) Bloombucks made an appearance on the steps of NY City Hall this morning to call attention to the obscene spending by incumbent candidate Mike Bloomberg in the fast approaching Mayoral Election. Bloomberg has spent $64 million and if his spending continues at a similar pace as in 2001, he is on target to spend nearly $114 million.

NY1 has a story that mentions Bloombucks:
Prior to Ferrer's announcement, a man dressed as "Mike Bloombucks" distributed fake money. The character was meant to draw attention to the mayor's spending habits.
